Dear Nkoza and Nankya Fans and Friends, we are excited to share with you our first Short animated film from the Nkoza and Nankya Universe, entitled Enjovu, The Elephant Tail. Maama Nankya shares a bedtime story with Nankya. It’s based on an old folk tale and Luganda nursery rhyme we used to sing as kids growing up in Uganda, with an awesome moral of teaching kids to never ever be ashamed of who they are.

Using Art and Crafts to Teach Luganda ~ Over the weekend, on January 13th, I was honored to participate as a volunteer instructor for the 1st Class of the Luganda Academy 2018, led by the Kabaka’s representative in North America, Margaret Nakibuuka Muwonge, covering Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and DC. It was such a joy to see the little ones actively participate in the craft exercises as well as speaking in Luganda and learning new Luganda words. For this exercise we focused on: akagaali (Bicycle) and Mupiira (wheel) ~ these classes are going to be taking place every 2 weeks. We look forward to seeing you on the next one. A special thanks to all my fellow Ugandan Volunteers. Kamu kamu..
