PRIVACY POLICY
For Families and Individuals using the Nkoza and Nankya App:

Thank you to all the families and individual users who have downloaded our Nkoza and Nankya app on Android and iOS Devices. We value the trust you have placed in this educational tool to help you teach your kids our native languages and to help them celebrate our rich and diverse Uganda/African cultural heritage.

We are committed to creating a safe and secure environment that family members of all ages can enjoy. Our app does not collect any information that, on its own, directly identifies your child.

This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) clarifies that we do not use, share, and collect information from you and your child, who may be under the age of 13 or 18, through our Nkoza and Nankya app.

What information do we collect?
Contact information. We do not ask parents to provide their email address in order to use our app. The Optional account information you create under the register to restore purchases is only for you to restore any in-app purchases you have made in the event you uninstall and reinstall our app.

User name and password for account creation.
Neither you nor your child is required to create an account in order to use our Nkoza and Nankya App, however, if you wish to restore your purchases on our iOS app, you need to click on the Register button to create an account and password as required by apple. In future builds, if we update our app to provide custom education content for your child, we will communicate that update beforehand on our website.

Rough geolocation information.
We do not collect your zip code and other rough information about your location when using the Nkoza and Nankya app

We do not collect Student education records (and therefore Nkoza and Nankya is not subject to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (“FERPA”));

We do not collect Biometric or health data; Information that directly identifies a child (such as name, e-mail address, phone number); or Personal information of a child.

Subscription to Unlock Premium Account:
Our app continues to be Free and offers Free language lessons. We have added a subscription option so users can unlock all our premium content for $6.99 per month. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. For iTunes or Google Play account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period ($6.99 per month) Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user’s iTunes or Google Account setting after purchase.  The locked items under the Games, Stories, Videos, and Songs section can be unlocked by purchasing coins inside the app. 

Can We make changes to this Privacy Policy? Will I be notified?
We may revise this Privacy Policy, for example, to reflect changes in the features of the Nkoza and Nankya App. We’ll notify you before we make any material changes and give you the opportunity to review the revised policy before you choose to continue using our app.

Non-material changes will be effective immediately upon posting, however, we will always note the effective date of such changes at the top of this Privacy Policy. Please periodically review this Privacy Policy so that you are up to date on our most current policies and practices.
